Welcome to our Unit 29 Creation to Christ week in review. This week our history readings were out of John 6-9. We started this week right before we took our trip to Florida, and completed the final day when we got back. We were so exhausted, but I found a way to get back to school. I hope to share our trip photos soon!
This week's poem was "An Encounter" by Robert Frost.
Aedan painted a roadside scene with telephone poles. The instructions didn't include adding the wires, or if it did we missed it. I wish we would have added some.
Aedan added his timeline entries: Jesus begins his ministry, Jesus chooses the twelve disciples, and Jesus feeds 5000.
Aedan's copywork was about how they all whispered about Jesus and whether he was the Messiah or not.
Aedan wrote about the healing of the blind man in John 9 for his written narration. My kid and his illustrations. Give a boy a story about spit, and see what he does with it!
Aedan copied John 8:57-58 in his notebook.
Our history activity of the week was to paint a stormy scene like that in John 6:16-19. We also made an origami boat like the one in the passage.
I saw this cute activity on how to make the 12 disciples. I thought these would look cute in the boat.
Aedan added the disciples and boat to his painting, and added his Matthew 14:27, 33 copywork.
Aedan added more places to his Saudi Arabia Travel Log for Geography.
I released myself from the complicated science experiment. My brain was fried after driving 1400 miles. Did any of you actually do this activity? My verbal instruction impairment wouldn't allow it! See you next week!
