MFW ECC - Weeks 16-17 in Review - Germany

Friday, January 2, 2015

Welcome to our tour of Germany! We finished up these few weeks before Christmas break. I think we've decided touring countries is made way more fun by trying out all the different foods :) I had planned to take the kids to a German restaurant, but with all the holiday busyness it didn't happen. Silas said that Europe was the most fun of all the continents - probably because I was better about plating up some international food to go along with our studies.

Even though we didn't get to the German restaurant we did try bratwurst!

We were at the grocery store and Silas spotted them. This is definitely a treat in this household. Nothing hot dog like usually gets past our door, so they thought this was amazing.

We printed our airline tickets and got our passport stamped. Silas flew over the boarder again in his airplane :)

These are our student sheets for Germany for the week.

We sadly finish our tour of Europe. I'm glad to have added Italy. I may add Spain later on in the year when we hit Antarctica as I'm not sure how much we can say about that in 2 weeks.

Our biome for these 2 weeks were Rivers and Lakes.

I love Silas's little interpretations of these different geography terms.

We continue to read through Matthew. I love that we are memorizing what Jesus said this year.

Each week we read about a new hero in Hero Tales. I love the character lessons we are learning this year.

This is not Germany related, but we visited a local Extreme Bugs exhibit for a little out of the house excursion.

Of course there was a monarch. My favorite! Off to Kenya next week! See you soon :)

  1. So glad you updated!! I love reading about your weeks!

  2. Glad to know someone out there visits our little blog :)

  3. Being in Wisconsin, we have brats pretty often, especially in the summer. That extreme bugs exhibit looks very interesting!

  4. I have to admit...brats are really good :) There was a request for me to make them again.

Thank you so much for visiting :) I adore hearing from you!
